The
fall 2019 men’s collection was inspired by the energetic pace of cities such as
New York and the effortlessness with which urbanites combine performance and
polish in their daily style routine. Modern city life has a distinct,
unpredictable rhythm, so dressing for multiple scenarios is essential. That’s
why smart layering of sportswear and tailored pieces, clever uses of prints,
and well-placed pops of color penetrate this dynamic collection. Functionality
abounds in casual pieces, a more diverse range of tailoring is available, and
our iconic dress shirt collection expands. A clean, neutral palette, accented
by seasonal shades, offers unique style options that are as diverse as the city
itself.
Outerwear
continues to evolve, blurring the lines between form and function. Crafted to
be seasonally lightweight, each piece borrows heavily on classic silhouettes
while offering weather-resistant properties. Returning favorites such as
quilted walking coats and barn coats tip their hats to our preppy heritage,
while new takes on the timeless bomber and trench promise versatility and
performance.
A
full-service, go-anywhere sensibility imbues sportswear for fall 2019. For the
urban commute—by bike or by train—there are athletic five-pocket stretch pants
for comfort and mobility. Stylish, easy-care BrooksTech™ merino sweaters are an
effortless layer during the in-between weather of autumn, while the natural
properties of Supima® cotton offer strength (and softness) that endures throughout
the day.
Our
iconic dress shirt collection continues to expand, offering something new for
each style. An innovative upgrade to our non-iron dress shirt rolls out:
featuring a touch of breathable Coolmax in the cloth, this new style is lighter
in weight, has additional stretch and helps with moisture wicking. A new luxury
dress shirt, made from Italian fabric is introduced, and our oxford shirts are
updated to feature natural stretch. The extra-slim Soho fit takes its place
among Brooks Brothers’ four other dress shirt silhouettes (this fit can even be
found in casual pants as well), offering a cut for practically every style and
body.
This
full-service style theme carries through to tailoring, too. The ever-versatile
hopsack sport coat is paired with chinos and denim for go-anywhere polish. To
meet the needs of every lifestyle (and every price point), a range of options
abound in suiting—from super-soft 1818 suits to the accessible value of the
BrooksGate collection. Heritage fabrics such as mélange and Donegal offer
hearty textures and evoke the colors and warmth of fall.
Accessories continue to tell unique style stories, and an archival collection of limited-edition pocket squares and ties draws heavily on Brooks Brothers’ history. Prints by Paul Brown and Tran Mawicke bring the brand’s past to life, and patterns from mid-century archives are found in neckwear.
