of the three heads of state in the realm of Milanese tailoring, Canali was
founded in 1934 in the Italian city of Triuggio – 15 miles or so north of Milan
– by brothers Giovanni and Giaccamo. Today, Canali is still run by
third-generation members of the dynasty and is renowned for sharp tailoring
with an innovative edge.

single-breasted suits, billowing Eighties-style trench coats, smartly cut chore
jackets and poker straight cream chinos, the collection is all crafted from
Canali’s new Impeccabile range of fabrics.
Made
from ultra-fine wool with fibres which measure an extraordinary 17.5 microns
(tiny, in case you’re wondering), which are twisted twice as many times as
traditional threads, the resulting fabrics are super-lightweight,
water-resistant, more breathable than usual and ultra elastic – meaning that
it’s perfect for travel.
